Today I will not comment when a family member does something around the house in a way I would not have chosen (unless of course it is one of those rare cases where it is either dangerous, costly or damaging to property, etc…). I will only comment to thank them for performing the task or praise them for their unique, creative way of doing it.

Hey Twilli 
This is a really hard one for me and I only have one grown man living in my space. I mean, our home. I try so hard to not criticize when he does something wrong (meaning NOT the way I would do it, which is, of course, perfectly), but sometimes I just snap and read him the riot act over something insignificant. I’m going to try to follow your lead and not pounce!
So the confession of the day is that while I have been pausing well with the children, I am not quite able to be so gentle with the adults that I love. Sigh. I guess I will be working on that next week.
