Good Friends, Old Times, and a Whole Lot of Kids!

This is originally a blog post that I had been working on for a while. It wasn’t supposed to be a part of my 31 Days of Smiles series, but when I think about this post, I can’t help but smile. And I hope you will too.

I absolutely love it when I have the chance to reconnect in person with old friends. Like the Chicago or the Mississippi friends. Sure, we text, we talk occasionally, and we Facebook. But I love to see them. And hug them. And encourage our kids to play together. And talk about how our lives have changed over the past 20…errr 25 years.

Meet Benita. She’s a Chicago friend..and a Mississippi friend….and a sorority sister.

She and her husband (I was in their wedding in 1995) were in town with their four children…all girls, a couple of months ago and we got to see each other.

It was August, and I was in registration…but I got to see her after work one Saturday.

And we caught up. The photo above makes me smile because I was able to crop out all of our children running amok behind us.

But then we announced group photo time!!!!! And ended up with this one:

And we could not stop laughing because between the two of us, we have 7 kids. Two only children amass 7 kids.

See…I thought this post would make you smile.
