Let Avis Drive You This Holiday

HOLIDAY

When it’s time to think about renting a car, there are so many options. For  me, any business that I support has to be big on customer service. Really big. It’s just hard for me to give my hard-earned money to companies whose employees are mean, you know?

That is not the case at Avis.

Avis Rent a Car believes in keeping their customers happy. From a wide selection of vehicles to meet your needs to stress-free rental guidelines to easy return procedures, Avis can lead your holiday drive this year.

Avis Car Rental and its subsidiaries operate one of the world’s best-known car rental brands with over 2,000 locations in the US and over 200 in Canada. Avis has a long history of innovation in the car rental industry and is one of the world’s top brands for customer loyalty. Avis is owned by Avis Budget Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: CAR), which operates and licenses the brand throughout the world.

Our experience with Avis began one weekend in October when the kids and I were going to visit family a couple of states away. My only request was that the car be big enough to transport the four of us, preferably with third-row seating, and a lot of cargo space.

As you can see we do not travel light, lol.

Not only did Keith, the owner/ operator of our location (Avis is a franchise company) give us what I asked for, he went above and beyond. The car in the picture above was full with the third-row intact.

We were loaded down and couldn’t even feel it. Each child had a different row with plenty of cup holder, gadget chargers, and the comfort made for such a more pleasurable ride with growing teens and a tween.

Here are the basic requirements for renting a car with Avis:

Avis rents to customers between the ages of 21-24 with an Avis-honored credit card and valid driver’s license. There are some locations with underage rental possibilities, please check with your location for specific policy information.

Avis does not require a deposit to reserve a car. However, an Avis honored charge card must be presented at the time of rental. Acceptable charge cards are as follows:

Avis Charge Card
American Express
AT&T Capital
China Union Pay
Diner’s Club International
Discover
GE Capital
JCB
MasterCard
Sears
Visa

Certain debit cards are accepted with a deposit to pick up the rental; those policies also vary by location. Because I like to use cash or my debit card as much as possible, I understand that this can be tricky when renting a car. The best thing to do is to call or visit the location you are planning on renting from after you’ve made your reservation but before your ready to pick up the car to find out the specific payment information you need to know.

All in all, renting from Avis is a great experience that I will be using again soon. If you need a rental car this holiday season, I highly recommend Avis. If you are in the DFW area, feel free to visit my friends at the Avis location in the Parks Mall in Arlington.
